Special Guest Speaker on the Northpark Drive Overpass Project
SWHVCA would like to invite residents to hear a brief presentation from Stan Sarman, Chairman of the Lake Houston Redevelopment Authority, also known as the Tax Increment Reinvestment Zone 10 (TIRZ). We will be hosting an open house from 6:45pm - 7:00 pm to view preliminary designs and learn more about the upcoming construction of the Northpark Drive Overpass Project. A brief presentation will take place at the beginning of the meeting at the South Woodland Hills community room, 2030 Shadow Rock, on Monday, January 13, 2020, as part of the regular monthly meeting from 6:45 pm to 8:30 pm.
The Northpark Drive Overpass Project will reduce congestion, improve mobility, and enhance safety in the Kingwood area by expanding Northpark Drive from four to six lanes between I-69 and Russell Palmer Road, and adding a grade-separated overpass at Texas State Loop 494 and the Union Pacific Railroad crossing. This project was identified as a clear priority in the 2015 Kingwood Area Mobility Study commissioned by the Authority. The project is currently in the design phase, construction anticipated early 2021, with expected completion occurring mid-2023.
The Woodland Grove Drive community entrance landscaping refresh project will begin in late September and is expected to be completed by late October.
